The Friends of the Pearce-Sunsites Community Library held a 2020 Holiday Bazaar outside in the parking lot at the Sunsites Community Library on December 5, 2020. We had tables loaded down with baked goods, donated items, and books! Lots of books. In addition, eleven vendors showed up to share in the fun.
The bazaar ran from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and brought in enough shoppers to gross nearly $2,000 in receipts. After deducting expenses, the event raised about $1,500 in support of the library. The vendors also said they had a successful experience and were very thankful for the opportunity to offer their wares.
A highlight of the event was the Kindle basket raffle. Congratulations to Liam Jones for being the lucky winner!
Thank you to everyone who contributed. Donors were generous with items for us to sell. Volunteers gave their time to bake delicious goodies, help with setup and teardown, and run the event.
And of course, thank you to everyone who attended the bazaar and helped make it a success. Without you, all of our preparations would have been for nothing. Your donations help us keep the library a vital and relevant resource for our community.
